NORTH KENT TRIALS COMBINE MEETING HELD 12th April 2007.
Clubs Present: Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Erith, Double Five, Kent Youth, Kent & Sussex. (6 clubs with 9 members present)

Mar 11th Trial Wickham round 2: Stewards report read out, event started on time, all sections manned, majority of riders enjoyed the trial, couple of Pre65 riders stated one downhill drop was too severe. The rider who went to hospital had suffered a dislocated knee and was ok – it was a recurrence of a previous injury, in all a very well run event.
Apr 8th Trial Kent Youth round 3: Stewards report not read out as it was light on information. Comment from those present; an excellent trials event and this was confirmed by the riders’ online survey. The route marking in the roads leading to the event might need reviewing. A little confusion with punching some of the punch cards. Discussion on the fact that several riders were swearing at one section which was manned by the Youths in the club – firstly swearing at an official in a trial is not acceptable and secondly swearing at a youth may give a rider a problem with legislation and the youth contingent may decide to pack up officiating at trials and we will be in danger of losing this event – riders please take note. To be dealt with informally.
May 13th Trial Owls round 4: All ok; at Penshurst and Kent Youth to provide the Steward.
June 10th Trial Erith round 5: All ok; at Jackson’s Wood, Horsmonden and Owls to provide the Steward.
Any other business: There is a South East Trials meeting on 19th April – ongoing update of rules.
Clarified riding numbers which should be on a colour corresponding to the route or main route that a rider will ride on, and Intermediate B have a Red background with a black B written next to the number, Expert B have a Blue background with a black B written next to the number.
Insurance costs and levies on the entry fee mean that we pay £5.85 per adult and £4.72 per youth.
